Lauren Huyett

I am a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara. My research efforts are focused on applying engineering principles to solve medical problems. Specifically, I am working on a device that will help people with type 1 diabetes maintain better control of their blood sugar.

I am interested in learning about new advances in biomedical research and helping scientists communicate their work to each other and to the public. My goal is to create clear and compelling writing that tells the story of the research, not just the result.
